My research is focused on designing computational techniques for solving large-scale problems in machine learning, quantum information, and scientific computing, with a focus on randomized algorithms. I received my PhD in <a href=\"http:\/\/www.cms.caltech.edu\/academics\/grad_acm\">Applied and Computational Mathematics<\/a> from Caltech.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I have been recognized for my work with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hertzfoundation.org\/news\/41-finalists-named-for-the-2020-hertz-fellowships\/\">finalist status for the Hertz foundation fellowship<\/a>, Caltech&#8217;s <a href=\"https:\/\/cms.divisions.caltech.edu\/academics\/honors\">Thomas A. Tisch Prize for Graduate Teaching in CMS<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cms.caltech.edu\/academics\/honors#w-p-carey-co-prize-in-applied-mathematics\">W. P. Carey &amp; Co. Prize in Applied Mathematics<\/a>, and the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.siam.org\/publications\/siam-news\/articles\/2025-july-prize-spotlight#Epperly\">SIAM Student Paper Prize<\/a>.
